Passport Office Thane is operational since April 2001  attending to the needs of seven districts around, which include Navi Mumbai, Nasic, Jalgaon, Raigad, Dule,Nandurbar apart from Thane district itself. It is now functioning at the MIDC Building, Vardaan Sankul, Wagle Estate, Thane 400604 which is the Office address of the Regional Passport Office Thane.

Passport applications for regular as well as Tatkal  are now processed only through online process and manually completed applications are not accepted.

Passport applicants eligible for issue of Passports through Regional Passport Office Thane are required to register their applications online through the website www.passportindia.gov.in and obtain application submission date supplied by the Passport Office Thane online. On the dates given by the portal, the applicant has to be present to deposit the application and supporting documents at the Regional Passport Office Thane, alternatively,   at any of following   Police department offices or the District Post Centres:

While the computer allotted dates are strictly followed and there will not be scope for advancing the date of submission of applications in person, there is no specific time allotted on the day of submission and the applications will be received on the first come first basis.
